The subject "sustainability" is a central theme for policy-makers, the business community and society. Decision-making processes should be shaped in such a way that they create an optimum balance between the environment, the economy and social issues. In this context consideration is given to the prospects of present-day and future generations and the impact on the local, national and global levels.
