The conference was held by the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection and took place in Berlin from 9 to 11 June 2010.

From 16 to 22 June 2010 members of the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) met for their 29th Congress. The congress was hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV) in cooperation with the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
